Major Milestone to be Achieved I-76 Brush, Colorado

Since May of 2013, when traffic was switched into head-to-head configuration on I-76 between Brush and Ft. Morgan, the entire stretch of the westbound highway has been rebuilt. This includes 6 miles of new concrete paving, 250,000 CY of embankment dirt, 6 new bridges, two tier retaining walls at 5 of the new bridges and improved drainage along the entire roadway. With all of this work complete Castle Rock Construction is ready to open the new shining concrete of the westbound lanes up to the traveling public. The traffic switch will happen by Thursday November 7th.

Eastbound and Westbound traffic will be on the correct side of the highway through the winter months until April of 2014 when CRCC will switch both directions into head-to-head configuration on the new westbound lanes in order to rebuild the eastbound portion of the project.
